@ganeshpadavala3 years ago So acer has improved hinge quality. I am using an older nitro 5 and a common issue is hinge, body panel already broke in my laptop with in an year.
they replaced it free of cost by the way. 23

i was looking for a gaming laptop in 2019, because i dont travel much with i researched and finally i shortlisted 2 laptops - asus rog i7 9th gen with gtx1650 and acer predator helios 300 with i7 9th gen with gtx 1660ti.
i finally decided to go with predator and believe me when i say this laptop still gives the best performance after 2 years.
as i stay in bangalore i didn' t have any issue with service centers as there are plenty in the city.
has great thermals, can run games like control at 80 fps high graphics.
the display is just amazing with 144hz
the only issue is battery (lasts 2-3 hours with basic usage and brightness set to 50% and sound(you won' t be able to hear if a fan is on)
as the brand reputation comes - i agree that there are not many service centers like there are for dell or hp, the laptop is great and has great quality parts.
i am expecting that it will run for another 5-6 years at least without any hitch.
