BPDU Guard is an STP feature that shuts down ports configured with PortFast upon receipt of a BPDU.
It's recommended to be configured in conjunction with Portfast.
Configurations:
conf t
interface Ethernet0/0
spanning-tree portfast
switchport mode access
!Enable BPDU guard on a port
spanning-tree bpduguard enable
!
conf t
!Enable BPDU guard by default on all portfast ports
spanning-tree portfast bpduguard default
Verification:
show interfaces ethernet 0/0 status
show interfaces ethernet 0/0 status err-disabled
debug spanning-tree events
