BUKO PIE
Filipino style coconut pie mainly filled with creamy fresh & tender young coconut meat.
✔️Dough
1 cup [240 ml] + 1/2 cup [120ml]water
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup veg.oil [80 ml]
4 cups all purpose flour [512 grams]
✔️Filling
2 & 1/2 fresh coconut juice (or water ) [600 ml]
1/2 cup milk powder [60 grams]
1 cup cornstarch flour [125 grams]
1/2 cup sugar [100 grams]
1/4 tsp salt
350 grams young coconut meat [2 pcs. coconut fruit]
⁉️READ ME‼️
✴️Since the recipe calls for veg. oil & is at 50% hydration, the dough will not be crumbly thus its crust is not the flaky type. The dough recipe intends for basic & alternative ingredients only. For flaky crust, use cold butter & reduce water to achieve crumbly dough & flaky crust.

Baking time: 30-40 mins @ 170C.
✴️Please check your actual pie texture when baking coz time & temp will vary on the type of oven.
✴️If softer crust preferred, bake for not more than 30 mins. 35-40 mins or more baking time for medium toasted crust.
