Physical properties of metals and non-metals : Malleability: This is the property of a substance due to which it can be beaten into thin sheets. Metals are generally malleable whereas non-metals are not. Ductility: This is the property of a substance by which it can be drawn into thin wires. Metals are generally ductile whereas non-metal are not. Conduction of heat: This is the property of a substance by which it conducts heat. Metals are generally good conductors of heat, silver and copper are the best conductors of heat while lead and mercury are the poor conductors of heat. Non-metals are a bad conductor of heat. Conduction of electricity: This is the property of a substance which allows to flow electrons through them and conduct electricity. Metals are generally good conductors of electricity while non-metal are bad conductors of electricity with an exception of graphite. Others are Appearance of surface, Hardness, Density, Melting and boiling point, State at room temperature, Sonority. All the above-mentioned topics are described in an interactive and efficient manner so that the students could easily understand them. *** Top Apps from Toppr to drive Better Results:- Check Here:: 📱 Toppr App link - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=haygot.togyah.app ✍🏿 Get your homework answers here (Toppr Answr) - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.toppr.toppr_ask 🔓 Unlock your doubts with Toppr Plus - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=haygot.togyah.app.plus Welcome to Toppr Study!! @akshitaadarsh83998 years ago At you said that Graphite is a form of Copper which should be Graphite is a form of Carbon. I can see that it's a minor error and shouldn't be payed much attention on as you already said before once that it's a form of Carbon. And also, my Chemistry teacher told me that Diamond (a form of Carbon) is an exception of Lustrous non-metal too. Is it true? And thank you so much to your team for making this video! I learned many news things from this. And I would love if you reply :) .. ...Expand 1
