Delhi: Outside the GTB Hospital, a gangster flees from police custody

On Thursday afternoon, a half-dozen armed assailants arrived at the GTB Hospital to free one of their associates, Kuldeep Maan alias Fajja, a close associate of feared gangster Jitender Maan alias Gogi, from police custody. The attackers also opened fire on the 3rd battalion's police officers. In response, police opened fire, killing one of them and injuring another, but the others, including Fajja, were able to flee. An FIR has been filed, and police are conducting raids to arrest the suspects. Maan was brought to GTB hospital for treatment in the OPD at about 12:24 PM, according to Delhi Police Spokesperson Chinmoy Biswal. Last year, the counter-intelligence unit of the special cell arrested Jitender Gogi and three of his associates, including Kuldeep, from MAPSKO Casabella Apartments in Sector 82 in Gurugram.
