@davids35393 years ago It' s a well shot film, though there were a few issues that i think came from reducing the run time.
first was the kid who got caught after second was the guy accepting the illegal sister. Unless the legal sister was doing and saying everything as commanded by the illegal one (and even then it' s a stretch) he' s in love with the legal sister. The legal sister telling him that her sister loves him so he should go with her instead makes no sense.
third was the illegal sister not staying hidden at the end. She just needed to pop back in there until the scan was over, but now she' s going on the run with a guy who made a promise of protection to someone else, while leaving her government employee parents to deal with the fallout of an 18-year deception (surely pregnancy scans would pick up twins? Which must have been drilled into her from a very young age. The ending of this film was really a let down:
i also didn' t like that the legal sister picked a contact lens off the ground and put it back on her eye after just blowing the germs off. ...Expand 1

i like how you didn' t have to explain what a scan was, we learned same with the security shield, we learned as the story evolved.
but, earlier in the film when the actor was declaring that unregistered people should be entitled to the same rights and love as someone who is registered, you' d think the girl (forgot her name) would show morebecause she has a sister but she reacted as if the thought was foreign to her. Not sure if she was trying hard to be coy about it and it just didn' t come across the right way for me.
anyhow, i loved this, anything dystopian gets my intrigue because i feel governments move towards draconian laws does not occur overnight, rather they happen over time to certain conditions and it' s interesting to view our own societies today and attempt to predict what outlandish laws could be passed as a result. ...Expand 2
