In the Summer of 2019, a buddy and I did a huge loop through the Oregon Outback to see, among other things, the amazing Alvord Desert (where Jessi Combs was killed a few weeks later in jet-car accident during a land speed record attempt). My buddy was on a 2017 Honda Africa Twin and I was on my 2006 Kawasaki KLR650. Somewhere between Paisley and Lakeview, Oregon we came across this established creek crossing. Yeah, I know there is a perfectly good road right next to it, but c-mon, a legit creek / stream / river crossing? I've got a KLR, of course I'm going to ride the water! It's hard to kill a KLR; they even resist drowning pretty well...lol I've got a lot of footage of the Alvord Desert that I'll be working on making videos for.
