@Ritchiiee9 months ago Haven't read the book, but hearing you talk about the sexual dragon bonding I couldn't stop thinking about that one Rick and Morty episode. 12

@CoverswithCassidy9 months ago So interesting cause at 15, 16, 17 this was exactly the book I would have wanted. I really want discussions to change about YA i think a warning of the intercourse is great. But at 15+ a lot of teenagers are sexually active. So why do we hide these scenes from them. I think informing readers that they are in there on the first page is a much better idea. So ppl can make there own decisions ... 26

@ajp5959 months ago Their is a less know author called sky purington who writes books about dragon shifters and women who are sent back in time. People should really check her out 6

@TuftyMcTavish9 months ago 🤣 I properly burst out laughing when I saw the thumbnail appear on my YT - this book keeps on giving the content! Returning to this with your wife’s perspective was fabulous - thoroughly entertaining, as despite that I am with you and this book is so very not for me, I am much enjoying the content you’re making for it. You guys are a great team! ... 3

@rhilou329 months ago I heard someone describe this book as a "contemporary romance with a thin veneer of fantasy", and I get it - you can definitely tell the author is a romance writer venturing into the fantasy genre for the first time (trying to capitalise off the romantasy hype, perhaps?). ... 4

@esmayrosalyne9 months ago Basically agree with everything both of you guys said, haha. I didn't even mind the romance element and the sexual tension, but I could've done with fade to black instead of full on steam and spice haha (though that tends to be my preference in general, lol).
I think I have just accepted that this the type of story that you don't need to start poking with a stick, bc then the whole thing will come crashing down 🤣It's fun, but again.. WHY the hype?! 🤯

@adelemarieish9 months ago I loved this book, but I'm an adult lol. The Dragons' bonding reminds me of the Anne MacCaffrey books set in a world called Pern. I read them as a teenager. 1

@heatherauton6559 months ago If you would love an actual adorable dragon tale try the SPFBO 9 entry A Blood-Born Dragon. Des and Squid are possibly my fave pair in a dragon bond.
World building is fun too with an australia flair.
Dialog is witty and reminds me of Kristoff (both authors are Aussies)
Such a great read, and you can it and the prequel novella off Kindle Unlimited.
    Highly recommend ❤

@dorkphoenixrising9 months ago I don't think I've ever been so torn by a book. I enjoyed the training and political elements, but having the book so centred around what I see as a toxic relationship really dragged it down. Outside the main pairing, I saw the h*rniess more as a freedom to do what they wanted, because their lives were more at risk as dragon riders so there was a higher likelihood that they would die young. But there were times this felt shoehorned in, like into dialogue discussing relationships, which just seemed unnatural. Xaden came across as Christian Grey-esque, needing to protect his 'property' and having someone watch her almost constantly. If it wasn't for the last page then I probably wouldn't read the sequel but alas, hooked by the cliffhanger ... 2

@franciscocarranza42609 months ago Also, let us be very clear. This isn't for the male gender, I guess. Or maybe it is. But this is written for a very specific audience. I mean let womyn have their horny dragons (Dany from GoT, hello). 1

@battlestarkoala9 months ago If you read Anne McCaffrey's Pern series which was written back in the sixties and is considered a classic in sci fi ... you may find that aroused dragons is not that new :D

@jethrostaz44075 months ago You just don't understand, its not about the fact that theyr'e killing their own soldiers, its about dragons giving girls FEELINGS.

@klaymoon19 months ago Great video. Definitely some books are more gender specific than others. I have to agree the plot was DUMB like the author only cared about each chapter but not on the whole book. 1

@nazimelmardi9 months ago This book is a draft that misses the editorial work. On every level it’s weak. From dialogue to plot it’s a bad book. Just like the author didn’t really care to make a serious work. twilight just worse in quality. And why exactly the guy looks like the same as in the acotar? Info dump at the beginning. The main character is stupid not smart. The main story is weak. The world building is forced. No realistic dialogues. And so on. Instantly predictable every event and relationship. ... 1
