@MrVandj13 years ago Out of all the gizmos and high tech accessories, it was the drain in the front trunk so you can put ice and drinks for a tailgate party that sold me. That’s awesome. 183
  • @
@Sneaky-Snek3 years ago depending on how much power you actually have with that full battery,
you may literally be able to run a reasonably sized landscaping crew/construction project ect JUST out of this truck.... that is incredibly eye opening ...

@TheGregoYatzee3 years ago I want this exact same power setup in an Explorer. Though, I think any truck or mid sized and up SUV should be capable of transporting a 4x8 sheet of material. Escapes and Explorers are always an inch or two too narrow. I hate the short beds of the crew cab pickups too. Fold down seats in the Explorer are nice, but the width sucks. ... 8

@graceladesh22962 years ago I have been driving my F-150 for 6+ years and apart from the fact that my Catalysts were stolen at Coscharis, Lagos, Nigeria where I took it for the regular service and spraying, the truck is a beauty, as it is economical to maintain! I am simply addicted to it and I look forward to becoming an owner of the Ford Lightning! Thanks for the review. ... 1

@TheGazingstar19713 years ago For years now I have been watching and sharing videos with my boyfriend of the future upcoming” all electric ⚡️ “vehicles. The Nikola Badger was my dream but shattered to the unveiling and luckily for this I would of missed out on our “Ford Lightening” this Truck especially from your video has really impressed us!! I have holding out for what this truck has to offer. Thanks to your video was very well thought out and you have an excellent way of describing what we all want to know. Thank you for creating this video and sharing. We appreciate you for it!! I have never always had small speedy cars or my latest is an SUV I bought my first new vehicle in 2011. I have raised my credit score to excellent and saved money in my savings for a down payment and I am ready to pay the less than 1% amount of $100 for a down payment hold for this amazing truck. Growing up I had a Ford Focus that is still running after 350,000 miles and no major work needed ever, I drive a ton for my job so my point is I have always had positive experiences with Ford and great memories of grandfather racing ford mustangs and winning 🏆 trophies for over 20 years. Grandpa would of loved to test drive these “Lightening Trucks”big time…..lol..:0) ... 1

@tonyhenthorn39662 years ago I hope these really can be had for $40,000. The "weak" motor is still mightier than the 5.3 V8 in my 2017 GMC 1500 (430 hp vs. 353) and way better on torque (775 lb/ft vs. 383 lb/ft). 73
  • @
@bdshiz2 years ago These will be amazing as fleet vehicles. Especially on construction sites where you're not putting on a lot of distance. 8

  • @
@Iceh4wkvideos3 years ago Max torque is not basically flat for an electric, its more like a logarithmic scale where its starts high and then tapers out at hight rpms.
Still this is the more useful scenario for towing.

@Hphotography3 years ago Also…a good name for tailgating out of the front trunk… “Grilling” 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 542
  • @
@paulrosanoski82183 years ago Ford understating the range in an overhyped world is a genius idea. Removing the worry from not actually being able to achieve the stated range is just so damned understated and respectful of your buyers. Great insights Marques ✌️ ... 440

@grkuntzmd3 years ago Nice video. You might not be a truck person, but...
I bought my first ever pickup (2019 Honda Ridgeline) 2 years ago and LOVE it. I'll probably keep getting pickups from now on. It's so convenient. The F150 Lightning looks very interesting. ...

@henrygarel95263 years ago Marques, I have heard about the Ford F-150 all electric but never really gotten excited about it. But when you made this video, I’ll probably dream about this truck with all the features you mentioned. This will probably be a market killer to other manufacturers. I would order one tomorrow if I could. Well done Ford and for Marques in making this video!!! ...

@hiker01002 years ago In another five years or so, if the F-150 Lightning proves to be the real deal and is within my price reach, I would absolutely consider buying one. Ford really hit it out of the park with this one. Love how it looks like a traditional pickup truck and not some bloated monstrosity like the Hummer EV or the Tesla Cybertruck. ... 15
  • @
@JPTech9333 years ago Excellent video, here in Canada trucks are very popular, especially in winter. These electric trucks will really help the environment - air pollution wise for sure.
  • @
@TechByMattB3 years ago An electric truck makes a ton of sense. Most people aren't taking them very long range, the extra torque is great for towing, and having access to the battery bank for running tools is a game changer. 5471

@thomasbeachman48332 years ago Thank you for this review - one of the BEST and most informative Reviews I've seen - thank you. I've called my local Ford dealerships and frankly they couldn't tell me anything - which was very disappointing at best. I then went onto Ford's site, and put my "build" in and the release date is showing May 2022...I guess May's not over but, can they at least be a little more accurate ? :( ...

I just heard you say under $40k for the basic... wow. That is impressive.
CyberTruck for $80k or F150 for $39k... Uh, well, if my kids don't mind me spending all their inheritance... The F150 Platnum for $70k...
The warning sticker was applied to the standard outlet faceplate and is used across all lines of vehicles that use that faceplate. Ford just failed to remove the sticker after screwing on the generic faceplate.

@khedrak2 years ago I'm wondering if that second glove box, as you called it isn't something more. As I notice its right next to the ventilations system and has that small 1 inch or so divider in the bottom back of the rubber insert..
My Dodge Journey has that compartment above the glove box as well, except its not just for storage. That sticky rubber inside on ours, is so our soda cans and what not don't slide around. Now I say soda cans because that compartment is connected to the ventilations system and with the air-conditioning turned on or even just the fan set to cold keeps our sodas cool or cold. Also works with the heater if you have a container that fits in there. There is also a lever on the inside left wall that opens and closes this compartment to the ventilation system.

@sarrum76963 years ago That’s really impressive about the 300 mile range being rated while carrying 1,000lbs. They should totally get that message out more. That’s a huge point. When I first heard the 300 mile range I just assumed that was under best circumstances to make the numbers look good. - Respect Ford, I’m impressed you went that route. ... 271

@IronMayne2 years ago Great video and honestly I love ford trucks and all and I would buy this but that cyber truck looks different and I like different things to be exclusive and all. But the functionality of the ford is prob something I would overall use. 50-60k is doable but that new hummer is dope even at 110k ...

@dbhomebldrs3 years ago really excellent review. Ill be looking closely at this truck and the Silverado when it comes out as I am a truck man. I agree with you it goes beyond what is expected in a truck and i'm really excited about owning one. It will be my work vehicle and the big thing I need is an 8' bed. Not having that as an option will really put off many contractors and tradesmen. 8' bed is critical. Thanks ...
